Our Story

Founded

2010 - 2014

BioSort was founded on December 7th 2010. A river product was developed to separate escaped farmed salmon from wild salmon using computer vision and a river fence.

Partnership Established

2015 - 2019

iFarm concept development. Partnership with Cermaq established. Applied for development licenses. Tested and developed iFarm concept at Institute of Marine Research.

Groundbreaking Technology

2020 - 2024

iFarm developed in close partnership with Cermaq, ScaleAQ and Nofima, with a budget of NOK 580 million. Groundbreaking technology developed within individual health journals for fish, unique illumination and lenses, real-time robotic sorting and cage arrangements for lice protection. 

Next Innovation

2024 - 2025

Pivoted to a new and simplified product based on developed iFarm technology and a new lice prevention method.

In his master’s thesis, he built a high-temperature 3D printer, with responsibility for electronics, automation, and system integration. He also has experience from Syncrolift, where he worked with sensors, testing, and simulation.
